Research Areas:
Our group focuses on the formation and evolutionary mechanisms of complex traits, with two major research directions:
1.Using Daphnia as a model, we investigate how organisms adapt and evolve under extreme environments, unusual reproductive modes, and phenotypic plasticity, with particular emphasis on the role and evolutionary basis of host–microbiome interactions in environmental adaptation.
2.Using the “zombie ant” system as a model, we dissect how parasitic fungi manipulate host behavior through neural, immune, and metabolic pathways, and further explore the evolutionary processes and ecological significance underlying this sophisticated parasitic strategy.
